Section 1 - Joining the League/General info
a. All users must create a coach.
b. Custom playbooks will be allowed on offense and defense.
c. Failure to listen to commish or co-commish may result in player suspensions, release, coach suspension, or removal from league
d. We will be using 7 minute quarters with NO clock runoff at all. Games will take around 50-60 minutes.
****Don’t start a game if you know you don’t have enough time to finish!
Section 2 - Scheduling
a. We will advance every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday night or when all games are done, usually around 10 PM EST.
b. Users have 24 hours to contact an opponent. If you have not heard back from your opponent within 24 hours, you will have the right to be auto'd, and your opponent can play the CPU.
****Message you’re opponent privately (not within the public league group chat, the chat may be cluttered, and most users mute groups)
c. If a user doesn't show up to a game that was agreed to be played, the user who did not show up will go on auto.
d. Proof must be provided in order for the above rules to be enforced (**screen shots**).
e. We will enforce a “3 strike you’re out” policy. Meaning if 3 games in a row have to be simmed, you will be considered inactive and be removed from the league.
Section 3 - General Gameplay
a. Please play football in a sim manner. If you wouldn't see in on Sunday, don't do it here.
***Don’t go for it on 4th and 30 (unless absolutely necessary), don’t throw it up 30 times a game to the same player for aggressive catch, etc.…
b. Only 3 hot route per pass play on offense.
c - Never beat an opponent by more than 30 points (No more than 40 for CPU).
Section 4 - Play Calling/Formation Subs/Position Switches
a. No quick snapping. Defense needs to be set for at least 3 seconds.

b. Madden 17 will re-introduce formation subs; you are welcome to make substitutions to your liking.
c. Players may not switch their player positions without approval of the commissioners. We are almost unlikely to allow the following switches: No HB at WR. No WR/HB at TE. No TE at WR. If you want to switch someone, you need to make the switch permanent by contacting the league commish.
**The following are likely: DB and FS/SS, K/P, OLB/ILB, FB/RB, OLB /DE are allowed to be swapped (Still need consent of commissioners).
c. No-Huddle is allowed, but you must huddle every 4th play.
d. The above rule can be void if you are, a. In the final 2 minutes of a half. b. down by more than 1 possession in the 4th quarter. down by 3 or more possessions in the 3rd quarter.
e. Mix up your play. A play out of the same formation must be run a max of 3 times per game.
f. The same play in a different formation must only be run a maximum of 5 times per game.
Section 5 - Quitting a game/Disconnects
a - If you quit a game, your opponent will get an auto win, and you will be under punishment under whatever the league office decides.
***For extreme cases, if you are winning by 7+ but must leave, you will have a chance to replay your game based on vote of commissioners, and availability of your opponent (you are at the mercy of your opponent, absolutely no guarantees)
b - Disconnects will be handled by the commishes discretion. However, if you have not reached the 3rd or 4th quarter in the game, you must either restart the game from the beginning, or take a sim.
Section 6 - QB Scrambling/ RB Running
a - If you are rolling out without pressure to get the AI to do stupid things, you will under punishment via league office (Please don’t do this, it is extremely fluky!).
b - When choosing a middle run play you must run up the middle. Do not exploit defense and bounce it outside. please use your better judgement when running the ball.
c- There is no limit on the amount of carries a rb can have, again it’s a sim league please use your sim judgement.
d. If you are scrambling outside the numbers you must throw ball away or run with Qb. Do not throw to a receiver outside the numbers.
Section 7 - 4th downs
You may go for it in the following situations:
a - 4th and 2 or less in no man’s land (50 yard line to opponents 30)
b - 4th and goal inside of the 2
c - 4th and 2 or less inside opponent territory down by 2 scores or more.
d - Down by more than 13 points in the 4th quarter
e- If you have a substantial lead in the 4th Quarter you are not allowed to go for it on 4th down at all. Use your head, it's a sim league.
Section 8 – Off Season FA
a- If you are not available to make a FA bid (work, school, etc), you may alert a commish so that you may be a part of FA competition.
b- Not a mandatory rule, but try not to sign every big FA
Section 9 - In Season FA
a - You may sign 1 player per week while in season
b - You must carry 53 players at all times
c- Only 1 player above 80 to be signed per week.
Section 10 - Trades
a - Players are allowed 3 in-seasons trades, and 2 Off-Season Trades.
**In season is from Pre-season Week 1 until Trade Deadline.
**Offseason Is the week exactly after the Superbowl until Week 1 Preseason. Off-season trades don’t “roll over to the In-Season trades vice versa”.
b - All trades need to be sent to a commish for approval. You may not send the trade until the trade committee votes on the trade. If you hear back from the commish saying its good, then you may send it to your trade partner in game. ***Try not to back out trades when approved, it creates a mess for everyone.
c- Trades involving the CPU will not be active until season 1 is completed. When active, they will require committee approval. Only 2 of these trades are allowed per a season. CPU trades may not involve players above 85 overall (some players may still not be traded, ex Tod Gurley)
d- You may NOT trade rookies from the 1st round until they complete a full season. In other words, you can’t trade Goff, Elliot, Wentz, etc… You may not trade rookies selected in the first round in future drafts. However you may swap draft picks during the draft. In addition you may NOT trade players once they have been selected. First round picks remain on your respective teams for 1 year, all other players may be traded after the draft.
e- You may not swap draft picks with the CPU during the draft.
Section 11 - Streaming Games
a - It is required that users stream all games
b - ALL games vs CPU MUST be STREAMED
c- ALL games are to be archived
e- To avoid confusion it is required that the "AWAY" team streams the game unless other arrangements have been made.
f. Home team sends invite to share connection and eliminate as much lag as possible.
Section 12 - Chew Clock
a. Chew Clock can only be used in the following situation
- 4th Quarter
- Ahead or behind by 2 or more scores (14 Points or more)
b. While you are chewing the clock you should be running on 1st and 2nd down regardless of the distance.
Final 2 Minutes of the half
C. If you are ahead by 20+ in 4th quarter, don't throw every play to rub it in. Kill time, run once in a while. Deep bombs are not permitted.
Section 13 - Playbooks
a. You can use custom playbooks
b. All playbooks must be declared
Section 14 - Playing more than one allotted game vs CPU
1. Every game must be streamed regardless of whether you play a CPU or a player and be watched by a witness from the league.
2. You must have evidence of any mishaps in terms of glitching, crashes, disconnection, etc. you can use the video of the stream, or save a screenshot on your ps4 or even record it from your ps4 or camera.
3. You must submit the evidence and an explanation to all the commissioners to review.
4. Upon further review, we may approve or disapprove it. During that time, you are not allowed to play that game or do any changes to your lineup or sign someone to play. (If an injury occurred during the game that had to end for whatever reason, we may consider you signing someone)
5. If we accept your request you may play that game again.
6. If we do not accept the request, we will consider it to be a loss and enforce it.
7. We will enforce a two warning rule for anyone who decides to go ahead and play the sim game without our knowledge or permission, which is:
A. First warning, for every game you play extra, that will be the amount of games you will be suspended for. For example, if you played 2 games, you will be suspended for 2 games and if you play 16 games, you will be suspended the whole season. You may also lose draft picks and further punishment may be made. Note that a suspended game gives your opponent the automatic win.
B. Second warning is an automatic expulsion from the league.
Section 15- Group Chat Etiquette
1-a RESPECT- We are adults which means act like it. We ask owners treat each other with respect. That includes public bashing of other owners for any reason, running up the score, and general poor sportsmanship. Trash talking is allowed in group chat but, keep it real. Language and racial slurs will not be accepted. Absolutely no trash talking regarding to a game that has just been played or is being played. All game related trash talking must be pm’d to your opponent or if it’s in violation of the rules please bring it up with the commissioners.
Section 16- 3 Strike Policy
1a. As a league member you will be given 3 strikes until possible banishment (by commissioner ruling). If offenses are different, they may be considered another verbal warning. However, if one game you perform a Nano blitz, then the next game you roll out with the QB every play & scramble/exploit CPU, you will be given a sim Loss.
a. Strike 1: You will be given a warning via a PM, also a possible reset of game if it tremendously effects your opponent.
b. Strike 2: You will be given a Sim Loss depending on the offense (Your opponent may still play your team as a CPU, however if they lose, or are not happy with the results of the game, you will be given a Sim Loss. Sim Losses usually result in the opponent team having a shutout, ex you will lose 45-0. This is by the ruling of the commissioners, different offense.
c. Strike 3: Depending on the offense, you may either receive another Sim Loss, or permanent Banishment. This will be based on commissioner ruling so no one commissioner may ban you.
Section 17- League Committees
1a. This league will live and die based on the ownership, commissioners, and the team owners/players. No individual can run the league successfully, thus we ask for some volunteer work to keep the league running. A few of the committees include but are not limited to the following:
A. League Owner/Commissioner: Sole owner/creator of the league (Milldaddy)
B. League Co-Commissioners: Fellow commissioners that have the right to boot players from the league, auto players, advance week, modify settings, etc...
C. League Trade Committee: This will allow league team owners the ability to decide whether they believe a trade is fair & reasonable. This means no trades such as Cam Newton for Brock Osweiler and a 1st round pick. Newton is a franchise MVP; thus he will be treated like one. Please consider age, franchise value, etc.… when making decision. ***If a trade involves a committee member, they are not allowed to be a part of the decision.
D. League Draft Committee (***NEW***): For those who don’t know, Madden 17 will introduce the ability to modify generic draft selections into custom players. If enough people are willing to, we may have a few rounds worth of players (72 players for 3 rounds) as actual college prospects to emulate a real draft. This means instead of the generic 75 Overall best QB Available, we can change their physical attributes and names to emulate a real prospect. Example, Joe Smith QB Penn State (75 OVR) may be modified to college star Deshaun Watson Clemson QB (81 OVR).
